MT code problem with real data from .edi

Hello, I am interested in using SimPEG for MT applications but since I am new to SimPEG code, I am having trouble trying to run a 1D inversion with real data from an .edi file. I have no problems using the MT jupyter notebook code for synthetic modeling, the only problem is running the inversion with data from an .edi file. I am hoping someone can give me some direction on how to run a 1D inversion with real data from an .edi file. I would be more than happy to download the code and use it on my local python installation if that is what is needed.
