System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' has no applicable method named 'Query' but appears to have an extension method by that name. Extension methods cannot be dynamically dispatched. Consider casting the dynamic arguments or calling the extension method without the extension method syntax.
Now, I know how to work around the problem, but I'm trying to get a better understanding of the error itself. I have class that I'm building to leverage Dapper. In the end I'm going to provide some more custom functionality to make our type of data access a lot more streamlined. In particular building in tracing and stuff. However, right now it's as simple as this:
I provided a partial refund on postage when customer bought two items separately. I did it on one transaction on PayPal and not on or via ebay. Ebay record is showing that I issued a full refund for the item and I am unable to mark as dispatched. I know I should have done it via ebay but clearly had a silly turn. Can anyone tell me how I can get the item marked as dispatched.
Is it in your list of things that are awaiting shipment? There are at least 2 places there where you can enter a tracking number, either the drop down menu on the left or under the title of the item where there is a place to add the tracking number.
When the seller marks the order as dispatched the customer receives an email saying the order cannot be cancelled. Subject to default despatch periods customer would receive their order within the estimate deliver period quoted on the order.
Just got message after message to cancel order - advised to return they never raised a return request then after another week they opened A-Z and Amazon refunded - with the item delivered and no return request as well as the numerous messages some which Admitted they had the item.
The one that caused us an issue with VTR though as could not change to Royal Mail 1st Class Stamps/Franking without an issue is an order that was for Guaranteed next day delivery (order was dispatched at this stage just not collected) but as I confirmed with SS if I cancelled then would affect my VTR rating, obv no tracking then it is an issue on the Guaranteed next day/2 day delivery options.
This incident type should only be used when the fire department is dispatched to an incident but does not arrive on the scene because they were canceled prior to arrival. Fire departments who arrive on the scene should code the incident type to the actual situation found on the scene when they arrived and should not use 611.
If the fire department arrives at the scene, completes an action on scene, and/or gives or receives aid, then the incident type should not be canceled en route, and a different incident type code should be chosen.
A fire department is called to a building fire. Based on information provided by dispatch, the fire department requests mutual aid. When the first fire department arrives, it is determined that the situation no longer requires extra manpower, and the fire department cancels the mutual aid department before they arrive.
Note: For those departments that want to document where they attempted to provide mutual aid despite being canceled en route, use the District field (Block E2 of the Basic Module). This is a local-defined code (3-character limit) that describes the district where the incident happened. The fire department can analyze how often they were canceled en route to other districts using the results from this field.

Background: There have been few studies on the effectiveness of bystander automated external defibrillator (AED) use in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The objective of this study was to determine whether actual use of onsite or dispatched AED reduces the time to first shock compared with no AED use and thereby improves survival.
Conclusions: The use of an onsite AED leads to a doubling of neurologically intact survival. In our system, the survival benefit of dispatched AED use was much smaller than that of onsite AED use.

Items purchased online undergo various stages before you can actually receive it from the shipping company. The most necessary steps include confirmation of the order, dispatching, shipping, and delivery. However, most people get confused or wonder what "Order Dispatched" means in the shipping process. If you have ordered a product and received a dispatching notification, here is the meaning of "Dispatched" or "Order Dispatched" in shipping.
Order Dispatched, commonly referred to as "Dispatched," is a term used in shipping, meaning the purchased product has been packed, stamped, invoiced by the sender, and handed to a courier. The dispatching process involves various steps, including making a packaging label, completing invoices, generating shipping documents, and preparing the item for shipping. However, the item is yet to be shipped or handed over to the delivery company.
When you get an order dispatch notification, it indicates that the seller has dispatched your order. Despite being the most straightforward part of the production, it may seem confusing for most buyers. Typically, it encompasses product preparation before shipping, from packaging to labeling and arranging all shipping documents such as the invoice.
For instance, the exterior shipping label is due to the dispatch process, and getting the "Order Dispatched" notification means all the necessary shipping details are complete. However, the product has not shipped yet, but is undergoing preparation before being handed to the courier.
For example, if you order a product from a different state, getting a dispatch notification implies that the product has the shipping label, invoice, and other relevant documents inside or outside the package. When the package leaves the packaging center, it is sent to the courier for shipping, where you will get the shipped notification.

I ordered the new ipad on the 14th march on Apple store, using thier finance..erm..thing.. and it originally gave me a 2-3 week wait (sometime around 11th april) the finance bit has all been set up and the estimated delivery changed to 1-2 week (27th march - 3rd april), then i got an email wednesday saying they could dispatch it earlier than anticipated ("your new ipad will be ready to dispatch on 2nd april"). Now what i'd like to know is when the say "dispatched" does that mean "leaves the depot"? or that it'll actually arrive at my door then? i was just curious as i was kinda hoping to get it before the easter weekend, as ive booked a couple of extra days off either side, so would be nice to have it to fiddle with over easter?
Thanks for the reply. so as they said it would be ready to dispatch on the 2nd of april,(and theres been no change in the status bit of my order online on the apple store website..erm..thing, im guessing i've got no hope of getting it before easter then? *sigh* seems stupid to me that you can pick one up quite easily in store but do it online and you have to wait?
As said when postage is purchased through eBay for some unfathomable reason it's automatically marked as dispatched by eBay. When the reality is the postage has only just been purchased, nothing more.
The first scan, say at a post office or a drop off shop, would then trigger the dispatch message not a seller just buying the postage through ebay. Maybe it would encourage sellers to post more promptly?
Don't blame the seller or the couriers, this is ebay marking the order as dispatched as soon as the seller purchases the postage label, it provides even more problems for the seller than it does for the buyer.
If buying from a private individual be aware of the day of the week. Auctions often end on Saturday or Sunday, so sellers can deal with items in their time off. Labels for all customer parcels might be printed in one go at the weekend for recent orders. But post offices don't open on Sunday; on Saturday many close by lunchtime. No pillar box collection until probably Monday evening.
Some good replies, yes eBay could and should do more but there is an issue with some professional sellers taking days to dispatch items, I see no reason why a professional seller can not dispatch the same or the next working day, one thing eBay could do with couriers they are working with is to get them to flag up dispatched when they first scan it not the seller then eBay could score sellers on reliability to dispatch same or next working day, they could also flag up that the seller was using his own courier if the seller manually flags the item as dispatched.
There are valid reasons why a professional seller does not despatch on the same or next working day. They may work full time as well as running an online business. They may live out in the sticks and not have easy access to a post office. They may be a carer to a family member and only able to process orders when they have cover. As long as they include this in their processing time I cannot see it being an issue. I would suggest that if the item you are looking to purchase is time sensitive, eg for a birthday present, maybe go to a B&M shop or buy from the river where they have their own fleet of couriers.
