An issue was discovered that may cause the puppetserver process to use 100% CPU time and run out of memory. Because the conditions to trigger the bug are dependent on many factors, we are recommending that for now users disable the feature by setting pupmod::master::generate_types::enable: false in Hiera after the simp bootstrap command has been run.

If using a default SIMP installation, this can be done easily by running the following commands as root:

echo 'pupmod::master::generate_types::enable: false' >> /etc/puppetlabs/code/environments/production/data/default.yaml
