Introduction
The chair presided by Mr. Rathish Kuriakose welcomed the members to the second executive meeting of the Saintgits Alumni – Dubai Chapter and emphasized the importance of conducting Alumni meetings on a regular basis. The objective behind holding the meeting was presented before the members and a fruitful discussion on the same has happened. After the series of discussions the committee set 3 basic fundamentals that should drive the alumni in the coming years which are listed below
· Responsibility to the society
· Socialization among the Members
· Commitment to the College and its growth
List of decisions which has been taken which supports the set objectives:
· We unanimously elected Ashish P. Nair as the SIM Alumni member to the FECKA Core Executive for the fiscal year 2013-2014. During the FEKCA annual General body meeting which held on 11.05.2013 Saturday, 07.00 pm @ Tulip Apartments, I (President SIM Alumni) nominated Ashish P. Nair as the representative member of SIM Alumni and is a core committees from there on.
· Secondly, to pool a sum of Rs. 1 lakhs for helping the Old Age Home at Pathamuttom and to name the fund in the name of our GM Late John Punnon (with the permission of Saingits Management). This is expected to be done until the chapter is dispersed. The fund so collected will be handed over to Dean and the college, at the time of X-mas celebration.
· Another important decision is that, rather than collecting money every time during or just before an event, from this year onwards there will be an annual membership fees of AED 250 per member and can be consented to the respective batch representatives in not more than 2 installments . All the programs of Dubai Chapter will be conducted with the given membership fee collected. The batch representatives are made responsible for fund collection and the same must be handed over either to the President, Secretary or the Treasurer by the end of June 2013
· To conduct an Ifthar Party cum family get together on 25-07-2013
· To open a page in Face book that list out and shares the vacancies in the member’s organization and the vacancies which any of the members come to know from various sources. In addition you can share the recent updates pertaining to any activities, functions within our group.
· To conduct the annual general meeting during the month of December 2013 and we anticipate the participation of Dean Mr. Roji George and Family or Ms. Bindu Annie and Family
· Decided to conduct the next executive meeting on 15th of June 2013
