Dear All

SIM is instituting a SIM Alumni Advisory Board from April 2013, the details of which are below -

Purpose of SAAB

The purpose of the SIM Alumni Advisory Board (SAAB) shall be to encourage lifelong commitment and involvement among alumni in volunteer activities that support the mission of the Institution. The SAAB purpose is

· To provide input to the College on higher educational needs from an alumni perspective and to provide support for various initiatives of the Institute and its activities.

· To assist the institution in continuing to enhance its image.

Membership

Members to the Alumni Advisory Committee will be selected by nomination. Alumni can nominate any two members of SIM Alumni for the Board. Final selection of the nominated members will be done by Dean, SIM considering the nominee’s demonstrated leadership, professional achievement and community involvement.

The Board shall consist of 8 members.

Terms of Office

Members of the Alumni Advisory Council Committee will serve a period of two years or until a replacement is chosen.

Responsibilities/Duties

The Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the SIM Alumni Association and SIM administration concerning programs, activities, infrastructure and other matters of interest to corporate.

· Help to build strong relationships between the business community and SIM by encouraging organizations to engage interns, recruit students and contribute to student learning through mentoring, projects and classroom visits.

· Endorse the interests of SIM and help in raising the profile of the institution.

You are requested to nominate two members of from the Alumni Association for membership to this Board by 30 April 2013. Please mail the names to this email id. Final results will be announced in the first week of May.
