Hi everyone,

A number of the Exhibit 3.0 examples aren't working on my system
(running PC Vista, trying both Chrome and Firefox).

Filter facets don't seem to work (sort criteria don't respond either):
http://databench.zepheira.com/demos/nobelists/nobelists.html

Search facet hangs:
http://databench.zepheira.com/demos/icd/index.html

Nothing loads up:
http://databench.zepheira.com/demos/senate/html5.html

I'm going through an Exh 2 > 3 conversion and finding that my facets
(TextSearch, Cloud) aren't behaving as they should, and wondering if
there's a root cause. Thoughts?

Hi Arithmeticus,

The nobelists example is working perfectly fine using Chromium 14.0.835.202 (Developer Build 103287 Linux) on Ubuntu 11.04 and Firefox 10.0. I have actually cloned it and using it locally works fine.

Exhibit 3.0 Scripted Demo: ICD10 Hierarchical Term Browser, throws some kind of error on firebug when doing the search!

The senate demo with HTML5 completely dumbfounds me!

One thing to note is there are quite some features which are still lacking in Exhibit3 and mostly is a work in progress. I think it presents a good opportunity for you to fix it and offer a patch.

Same here.

Thanks, Kihara, for your feedback.

I found the Nobelists exhibit works fine in Opera, but still getting
negative results in the other two browsers. I've just tried Safari for
PC, and the same thing happens. My version of IE9 refuses to load
anything more than the header.

I am an end user, not a JavaScript programmer, so I'm not in a
position to fix the issues and offer a patch. Anyone in the community
who rises to the challenge, please supply enough documentation to let
us know how stable a feature is and how to use it (examples work
best).

Hello,

I am also not able to see the senate demo with HTML 5 using either Chrome(18.0.1025.152 m), Mozilla Firefox(11.0) and IE (8.0.6).

Since Kihara said that this demo is great! I would definetely love to have a look at it.
However, no errors are thrown in my JS debugger.

Tag Clouds demo also doesn't work in IE8. By the way, looking at the source code, some demos are still using the ex prefix (while in the documentation, its' mentioned to migrate those to data-ex-.)

Sorry about that, some shuffling of directories broke a link to a
script. Ryan may have other tweaks in mind too...

Please try again.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

I might have spoken too soon. The http://databench.zepheira.com/demos/nobelists/nobelists.html timeline facet is not working it throws some kind of cannot create Timeline. I did solve this problem and offered a pull request, but I had too many false changes on my code(Spaces at the end of lines masquerading as changes) hence I cancelled the request.

The problem is due to hack no 1 on time-extensions.js. Commenting out this hack does solve it IMHO. There were also some issues with some files missing, which I think you addressed it.

Regards
Kihara

Thanks Mark for the fix.
It's working well (from France :-))

I will retry to update my Exhibit code to the last Exhibit release by the end of the week.

Regards,

Brice
