Hello all,
i am interested in and new to timeline, i want make some changes, but
i couldn't find a full document for the source codes, so i ask my
questions here, i hope you help me. (i use timeline in wiki with
wibbit extension)

is the date range for timeiline limited? when i enter the year 100 or
300 ( or 900) for the date field timeline couldn't be initialized
(Failed to create view Name), any idea?
how can i change the direction of the date labeling? i want to
localize timeline for a right to left language, so the time origin
should be in the right side of the timeline bars and increases when we
move to left, any idea?

Please help me, it is very important for me.

Hello all,

(Source is available from the google svn repo. See the simile-widgets.org websit)

so i ask my

(I don't know the wibbit ext. You should first ensure that the current source ver works with it. Then modify the source. )

is the date range for timeiline limited? when i enter the year 100 or
300 ( or 900) for the date field timeline couldn't be initialized
(Failed to create view Name), any idea?
(No, there is no limit. But you need to use the gregorian parser, not the iso parser. See the religions example timeline which includes dates from 3000 years ago)

how can i change the direction of the date labeling?
(Do you mean that you want the dates to increase from right to left? You'll need to change the source. Are you experienced in programming and javascript?

Without making changes, you should be able to use right to left (RTL) languages for labels and descriptions.

If you want a full RTL support, I think I'd first look into the bands object where the geometry of the bands is calculated (which offsets equal which dates). But David H may have a better pointer on what to change first.

Also, you'll need to change the painter since you'd want the labels and tapes to extend to the left of the start date, instead of the right. I think it will be a good sized project.
)

i want to
localize timeline for a right to left language, so the time origin
should be in the right side of the timeline bars and increases when we
move to left, any idea?

Please help me, it is very important for me.
