Hello!

Has there been a change to the old Timeline (v1)? I include

http://static.simile.mit.edu/timeline/api/timeline-api.js

which is still available, but the JavaScript console shows this error:

TypeError: Timeline.DurationEventPainter is undefined

The application in question is my Live Earthquake Mashup at

http://www.oe-files.de/gmaps/eqmashup.html

Or could this be collateral damage due to some changes in Google Maps?
I still use v2 of that API, so the clock is ticking anyway.

Nothing on simile.mit.edu is supported any longer; you should be using
scripts from simile-widgets.org

As I wrote, I am still using version 1 of the API. I see in the web
console, that content is fetched from

static.simile.mit.edu

first, but then

http://api.simile-widgets.org/ajax/2.2.1/simile-ajax-api.js

is accessed. I don't know if this also a new feature or my page did
work all the time with version 2. Version 1 does not seem to be hosted
on simile-widgets.org. The Wiki redirects to the MIT documentation.

I haven't seen an anouncement on this list, that static.simile.mit.edu
is deprecated. I do unterstand that it won't be around forever, and
keeping this version alive for so long is more than I can ask for, but
a gentle warning would be nice. Silently redirecting to another
version of the API and hoping everything will work is probably not a
good idea...
