Hi Everyone,
Set up chaos monkey and enabled 2 scenarios. I've been waiting for about 2.5 hours but looks like only one scenario executed so far. Is that what is supposed to happen, Or do all scenarios happen within the hour?

Assuming if everything is configured correctly, it may even take few days for each scenario to execute. I would try increasing the probability in the chaos.properties and restarting your application few times as mentioned in the documentation of chaos monkey.

Thanks,
Arpan

Hi Arpan, thank you so much for the reply. Well turns out there is some problem with the SSH. Although ./gradlew jettyRun does not give me any error, my burn cpu is not running. This is what i see,

2018-03-25 16:51:56.393 - INFO  AWSClient - [AWSClient.java:287] Got 1 auto-scaling groups in region ap-southeast-1.

2018-03-25 16:51:56.627 - INFO  BasicChaosMonkey - [BasicChaosMonkey.java:278] Group monkey [type ASG] enabled [prob 6.0]

My terminating instances works well and to my knowledge so does blocking all network traffic. This seems to be an issue. Just for some context. I am trying to run chaos monkey from within one of the instances inside the ASG.

Thanks

Archana
