Managed Software Center missing from installation?

Building the client DMGs works fine, but when I install the pkg in the DMG it does not seem to get installed completely, even though it says it was successful. Specifically, “Managed Software Center” is nowhere to be found. Any idea how that could happen (and how to prevent it)?

I think I found out what happened. Because “Managed Software Center” was already on my Mac in the checked out simian folder, the installer overwrote that instance, instead of putting it in /Applications. It works fine for other people.
