Continued Development/Alternatives?

I was wondering if anybody knows if somebody who forked the depository and continued development/upkeep. Failing that, anybody find a good alternative?

Running Munki in the cloud (CloudFront/AWS) is pretty popular.

There are many other tools around Munki: Sal, MunkiReport, MunkiWebAdmin2.

Some combination of these might be an alternative...
