How the voice quality of Advanced Voice Client depends on FS2004?

I've a strange problem with AVC (or maybe with SquawkBox) when flying
by MS Flight Simulator 2004 (fs9). Voice quality varies a lot when
window focus is changed between FS, SB Host window and AVC window.
When I'm using flying instruments in FS the voice quality is in very
poor level. Actually voice communcation channel is not usable at all.
If I pause the FS or switch the focus to e.g. SB window quality become
much more better. I can say that quality is in level 4 or even 5. But
just after releasing the FS from the pause mode or switching the focus
back to FS, quality fall down to level 0 or 1.

Some details of my computer:
ADM 2700
1GB memory
Radeon 9600Xt with 256MB
No memory wasting programs are running on backround.
Any ideas how to improve voice quality?
