Over the last two weekends I have had the pleasure of experimenting with VATSIM
flight outside the USA. I was very pleased to experience great ATC from
SVZM_CTR (Venezuela). I flew in and out of SVMI (Simon Bolivar) and had
ATC both times. The controllers spoke beter English than some Americans,
LOL.

To those American pilots who are afraid to wander outside VATUSA/VATCAN due
to possible language barriers, I highly sugegst visiting VATSAM and SVZM_CTR/SVMI
in particular. A pleasant change of pace awaits you there.

SVMI -- just 2 hours from San Juan, just 3.5 hours from Charlotte, NC.

I would also like to add that the controllers in Europe are also wonderful
to work with. I have done trips with Delta VA to Ireland, France, Germany,
Italy, and Russia over the past year or so, and have never experienced bad
ATC. All controllers speak fluent English and always display the highest
level of realism and professionalism.

I agree with Dan. There's so much more to experience outside the US. Give
it a try!
