RW Closing itself...

Hi,

First of all sorry if this issue was already discussed here.

I think the problems start to occur right after I installed the DirectX
8.0a.

Here it goes,:
1. I start FS2000 pro, goes to the airport, slewing to the ramp and choosing
my plane.
2. I open a multiplayer session with 250 pilots and 80 observers.
3. I lunch the Squakbox 2.3 (build 4), It detects the multiplayer session
with no problem.
4. I fill the flight plan (or loading it from a file).
5. When I connect to SATCO (soon going to be VATSIM), It opens me the
RogerWilcow UNICOM room, no problems till here.
6. NOW, when I change ATC or trying to talk I get this error:
"ROGER caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:00000040.

Try 30 pilots and 0 observers

I tried with 30 pilots and 0 observers. still no good.

I am using Roger Wilcow mk.lm_mod1

Omri - if you take a look at resoundings website you will discover that
there are known bugs with DX 8 and RW.

If you are using DirectX 8 download this applet:
http://www.gamevoiceclub.com/Download/dxapplet.zip
and unzip it in the windows system folder, then go to the control
panel, DirectX, and pull the debug slider in the DirectSound TAB to
the left.

DirectSound debug mode was left on in DX8 and could very well be the
cause of the troubles many are encountering with RW. Anyway it won't
harm to disable this debug mode, rather help the performance for
some...

It delays the error in a few minutes. But It still comes after some
chatting.

Any Help?

I`m using creative VIBRA 128, and DirectX8.

Omri,

You have 2 choices - Reinstall Windows from afresh or use one of the
UNOFFICIAL uninstallers - Some people report they work others say no - I
doubt they work completely.
