Just did a total HD rebuild.

When I load a situation and save the flight using "Save as Deafult Flight,"
FS9 still boots to the Seattle situation. What is wrong? Any guesses?

Check that the fs9.cfg is not read-only, it contains the start-up
situation...

I have had similar problems Dan since 9.1.....I finally went into my stored
flights area (under My Documents) and erased all the old flight FLT files,
especially the PREVIOUS.FLT file. For now it appears to be working, but I'm
not holding my breathe.

I've had the problem even before 9.1. The only way it saves the flight for
me is if I [ESC] to the startup page and save it from there.

Even a fresh install of everything and .1 didn't cure it.

Maybe your suggestion will work for me too.

ps, I'm wondering if its some add-on a/c out there doing this.
