the ATOC LIGHT 99% finished!
There are still many simmers, which would like to join FPI, but they only
have Win98/ME on their computer, they can use ATOC
IPI Light ( which is the case for about 40% of the southamerican users )
Than there are many, who every once in a while have problems with their
hardware components and the grafic setups of the
current ATOC - they can use ATOC IPI Light instead - it is simple and
functional
Than there are the deep-routed members, who just want to fly period. They
don´t care, if a button is green or pink. They have
the ground charts lying on the desk in paper form.

The ATOC IPI Light consists of only one window, which will change it´s
contents depending on the online status - only three
buttons - no unnecessary grafics
When ATOC IPI Light has been launched, the main changes will be made at FPI.
We will convert the entire server protocoll into a packed mode ( already
finished and is running in the alpha phase now ).
That saves us about 70% of traffic on the servers and makes everything so
much faster.
That will be the key, to bring it to a completion ( partially it is already
finished ) which is what you´ve wished for,
because with the old protocoll from 1997 we couldn´t materialize on it ( we
had to make SB 2.xx compatible first )
As you can see, there is much on the to do list...
