So I could not install the 9.1 patch.
I decided to uninstall this version and installed my tin boxed English
version.
I suppose everybody can imagine where the NoCD is from and is not afraid
anymore
of using it
;-)

This version is known about...you could just have replaced the FS9.exe from
your CD and then the FS9.1 Update would have worked.

Peter.

Anyway, I prefer the English version because ATC in German language is far
from
"real".
After installing my English version to the notebook I did the "rename trick"
and copied my complete
"tower installation" via an external USB HD to the notebook and everything
works fine now
after I have modified the FS9.CFG to the settings of the tower installation
(whenever is was reasonable).

(Maybe my fault was to try first the English patch and after the error
I tried the German patch)

I did not even think about installing the patch to the OEMs fs9.exe because
it was
a short "NoCD"-fs9.exe.
I renamed it and copied my (English) long CD-FS9.exe to the notebook.
Then I tried first the English patch and then the German patch ....
