Problems starting Squawkbox

I have FS2002 and I'm just getting configured for VATSIM. Everything seems
to be going well until I start Squawkbox. It errors out everytime (offering
to send an error report to Microsoft). I seem to have installed it correctly
as it shows up in FS2002's "Modules" menu. Has anyone else encountered this
problem?
