My Cessna C208B Grand Caravan won't float (FS2002 Pro). I don't believe
the landing gear is retractable. What am I missing here? It sinks at low
speed.

It has been a long time since I used FS2k2 but don't recall a flotation
problem. Most planes don't sink but will suddenly jump 500 feet in the
air. I have crashes turned OFF, otherwise it would show me as being
crashed.
Not certain on that one Wild Bill.

The gear is retractable. There's a big handle at the right of
the panel, next to the flaps. Water = Up; Land = Down.
It is the Caravan Amphibian that your landing on water?

Hi Ian! Thanks, but it is the other one. The C208 Caravan Amphibian is
easy to land in the water and has retractable landing gear. Here is what
I am talking about.

No wonder it sinks. It's a land only aircraft. The large underbelly
bulge is the cargo hold, not an amphibian hull.

Oh that explains it. <grin> If you keep it moving with that big flat
bottom belly, it sails right across the water. But slow down well below
stall speed and it sinks. Anyway thanks again Ian. The description says
it also lands on water (see screenshot). I guess it would if it had the
optional floats. ;)

Simply choose the amphibian edition and the water world can be yours.
