WHERE DID THE SMOKE AND WAVES GO IN MY FS2002 ?

Recently the realistic smoke or trace after airplanes at high altitude
was replaced by geometric figures that don't look like smoke at tall.
The same happen to the waves close to the beaches. These has also been
altered to unrealistic geometric shapes. How do I get the default waves
and smoke back ?
