Hi,

i've some Code here. It's allready running at the Arduino Nano V3.0 Board with ATMega 328p Chip on.
It's submitting some ASCII Chars through UART.

For future codes written by my colleagues or me i wanna use the simulator first. But it seems that i don't understand what i have to do now.
I tried this:
manuel@track:~/src/simavr$ ./simavr/run_avr -m atmega328p -freq 16 ~/proj/ec4th/avr.hex

and got this:
Loaded 1 section of ihex
Load HEX flash 00000000, 11394
Starting atmega328 - flashend 7fff ramend 08ff e2end 03ff
atmega328 init

Well but whats now?
I've to say that i don't understand any C Code. And i didn't find a documentation for SimAVR. For that reason i'm asking you.

It would be very nice if you can help me.

Best regards,

Manuel

Unfortunately this is a developers list, specifically for the
discussion of writing SimAVR. As time goes on and the project becomes
more mature, I'm sure groups like the Arduino people will integrate
this software with theirs and provide a manual. Until then take a look
at the older simulavr which might have some tutorials available, or
use atmel's simlator in avr studio.

I, too, have the problem of no documentation for simavr.

It would not hurt to provide a simple, worked example. You must have
one on which to test the software. And how many bugs will be
discovered, and possibly solved, by people who become interested in
the software by using it? How many bugs will the developers miss
because you don't have a community of testers, due to your attitude
above?

Why develop simavr if you are going to make it difficult for mere
mortals to use it?

Please post a simple example. We can learn from that, and help you
with problems.

Regards,

Peter

There are examples in the simavr distribution. Both simple ones, and
more complex ones too including simulating LED displays etc.

So instead of the righteousness, just check the source tree, it's all there.
