This is nice. Which board resemble Sim.One the most? Could be a good starting point.

EDB9307A is the closest to sim1 - the A means it has onboard flash
memory which on the sim1 is 16 bits wide.

I just stumbled across the Sim One and the EP93xx git tree on
gitorious.org. Some months ago I started the effort to mainline EP93xx
support in U-Boot, taking as base a similar patch as the gitorious
tree. Currently only the Cirrus Logic EDB93xx boards are supported
(though I could only test EDB9301 and EDB9307A), but I would be happy
to add Sim One support in the future.

The latest patch the current U-Boot git tree can be found at
http://lists.denx.de/pipermail/u-boot/2010-January/066753.html , in
case you want to give it a try. In the next days I'll send a new
revision of the patch adressing the concerns raised by the reviewers

Regards

Matthias
