A new minor version of SilverStripe 3 has been released: 3.7.0!
This release includes several new API changes and enhancements designed to modernise and stabilise the older 3 branch. This includes:
- Improved support for PHP 7.2.
- Better HTTP caching, including a new API which can be used to declare response caching rules.
- Etags work nicely out-of-the-box, ensuring that CDN caching will work more efficiently.
- Security enhancements that better protect unpublished content from appearing in cache responses.
To get setup with this version of SilverStripe you can install this with the below composer command:
composer create-project silverstripe/installer ./ss37 3.7.0
At the time of writing the latest version of SilverStripe is 4.1.1, and users on lower versions are suggested to upgrade.
