AGM and the New Year ahead!

Hello,

As you all know we held our annual AGM on Monday evening.

Thank you to everyone that attended.

I am VERY pleased to announce that Carla Aitken is your new President of the Silver Spokes Cycling Club!!

Michael Davis has taken on the Vice President role. Thank You Michael!

Helen Di Folco has joined our board and is our new Secretary. Welcome Helen!

We are very lucky to keep Robert Johnstone on as our Trusty Treasurer.

We are thrilled to have to Ron Vandenberghe return to the board.

A new addition to the board is member Jim Cathcart. Jim has experience from other cycling clubs and we look forward to introducing him to our club member's next season.

The following board members will remain on the board, Dan Bergen, Rob Martin, Todd Bremner and John Verbakel.

We would like to Thank Bob Taylour for his time on the board for the past several years. Hope to see him on club rides next season.

As per our Bylaws, I will remain on the board as Past President so you're stuck with me for one more year. 

After 6 years as Club President, it was time for new ideas and leadership!

I would like to thank the Board of Directors and all club members for their assistance, support, patience and tolerance with me over the past years. 

The last two years have been a challenge for the board, but they all stepped up and worked through it to get our members riding again this past summer! They attended countless Zoom meetings and dealt with endless emails about Covid restrictions and new OCA policies. 

I would like to thank Carla for her many years as Secretary and I know she will be an excellent leader. It's always great to have new people with fresh ideas to get the club moving forward. 

I am very excited for the Silver Spokes Cycling Club.

We have an awesome team for next year!!!
