2021 World Track Cycling Championships - Roubaix France
Nick Wammes of Bothwell Ontario who started his cycling career at London's Forest City Velodrome represented Canada
in the Sprint Competition events today.
Qualifications - Top 20 competitors to qualify
Qualified with time of 73.409 kph
Advanced to 1/16 finals (Top 16 riders in the world)
Beat Spanish rider by .161 seconds
Advanced to 1/8 finals (Top 8 riders in the world)
Lost to Polish rider by 59 hundreds of a second (.059 seconds)
Nick was a member of Canada's 2020 Olympic team and is on track for the 2024 Olympics.
