Fred,

How does the advertising model work? Do you have ad network partners? Is google adsense or other ad networks compatible? Or is the only method finding local advertisers?

SilverSplash isn't an ad server - it is a captive portal that handles
free and paid usage for your visitor based wifi network.  It doesn't
run on access points - it runs on a Linux based gateway.

You can install SilverSplash on any Linux based device, such as a
centos server like the one you have.  *wrt devices do not support it,
and SilverSplash doesn't use radius.  Radius is meant primarily for
authentication of non-visitor based networks where you need a lot of
control over who can connect to the network.  SilverSplash is built to
allow any client to connect, and provision access based on free or
paid choices the user makes.

Hope that helps - let me know if you have any other questions about
installing it.

Riaz - this is a technical discussion list for the open source captive
portal SilverSplash. If you are looking for advertising for your
network, please contact Silver Lining directly through the contact
methods listed on http://slwifi.com

That being said, technically speaking you can use AdSense with
SilverSplash. But don't hold your breath on getting paid any revenue
by them; their terms of service do not support ads run on wifi
networks.
