silverpeas-postgresql-5.13.3-1 FAILED

I wish to install and test Silverpeas on Linux Fedora 20.
I tried to install it by the yum reposotory fro redhat 6 using command:

yum install silverpeas-5.14

The yum process aborts with the following message:

silverpeas-postgresql-5.13.3-1 FAILED                                         
http://www.silverpeas.org/repo/rpm/rhel/6.x/noarch/silverpeas-postgresql-5.13.3-1.noarch.rpm: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found

All other required packages have been downloaded.

Someone knows a solution?

Hi,

The pb comes from the silverpeas-postgresql-5.13.3-1.noarch.rpm package doesn't exit anymore in the repository.
Normally, yum would download the package silverpeas-postgresql-5.14-5.14-1.noarch.rpm for Silverpeas 5.14. I think the repo metadata were broken, driven to this misbehavior.

I've clean up the repo metadata (as well the silverpeas packages) and rebuild the packages for both debian and redhat-based distributions.
Try again to install Silverpeas 5.14 with yum.

Note: Linux Fedora 20 isn't currently supported;17 is the last version supported for Fedora.
Nevertheless you can try to install it under Fedora 20, but use instead the repo for Fedora 17 http://www.silverpeas.org/repo/rpmfedora/17

Strange. I tested it with on a CentOS 6 distribution and it worked fine.
Did you removed any previous and older Silverpeas (possibly pulled from your last yum execution) and did you clean the yum cache?

I don't have this error. It is the first time I was reported of a such error and I don't clearly understand it. It is like there is a dependency problem between the two packages on the /opt/silverpeas/setup/settings directory. Indeed, /opt/silverpeas/setup/settings are embedded in the two packages but it should not raised a such error as each directory contains different files!

Did you run yum update before any installation, once the yum cache cleared?

I suggest to remove any installed silverpeas packages, then check the /opt/silverpeas directory doesn't exist anymore before attempting again to install silverpeas 5.14.

I suspect that the problem comes from the yum package of F20. Perhaps it considers wrong what is right for yum on RH/CentOS 6.
