Subject: RE: Meeting to follow-up

Dear Sam,

Thank you for coming down to have a meeting last Thursday.

Please refer to the discussion notes below: (Please take note of the urgent things to be done by 29 May)

1.       Handover

·         When new members join Enactus, they should be briefed by the Team leader and RSVP. New members to be officially introduced to RSVP.

·         Once name list is updated, update RSVP about it (appoint official coordinator. Currently it’s still Sam)

2.       Impart Skills & Knowledge

·         Students can also join in the maintenance training in order also help more during SITC outdoor events

3.       Programme

·         Once it became institutionalise, the programmes becomes dull. Hence, need to think of new ways to enhance eg. Catalogue a set of web links

·         However, old methods can still remain

4.       Volunteers

·         RSVP will notify Enactus the monthly events 1 to 2 weeks before the following month

·         Enactus should notify RSVP whenever they deploy student volunteers at least 1 week before event

5.       Social Services

·         Volunteers who are not from Enactus should be briefed clearly on roles and responsibilities before event

·         Non-Enactus students have been questioning what do they get in return. Enactus should check if they are able to get CCA points etc.

6.       New improvised Social Enterprise Project

·         Feedback from Sunny:

o   Logistics:

§  Computers or smartphones should be available for any IT Training/Learning

o   Venue:

§  MRT is only mobility but operating or setup cost will be high

§  Probably can hold it at SAC or CC instead where most of the SAC has an exercise corner

o   Information Hub:

§  Need to think of server based where seniors can view the event just a touch of a button at home

o   Collaboration/Partnership:

§  RSVP shouldn’t just be a resource provider

§  Enactus should be the resource provider while RSVP should support in areas like IT talks but not executing. This should be done by Enactus.

o   Pilot Test:

§  RSVP has the statistics of what seniors want to learn for IT. There’s no need to experiment the interest of seniors.

o   Funding:

§  Self-funding programme for RSVP which is social enterprise

§  Once type of partnership is finalise, pilot test can start.

§  RSVP Gourmet Activity Circle can support with F&B if the volume is small and subject to their availability.

§  Enactus can use RSVP as partner to get the right Microsoft contact to work with the marketing plan

o   2 factors:

§  RSVP will blast this event out to Cyberguide trainers and assistant trainers early June. Hence, details of timeline has to be out soon.

§  Have to work with Juay Meng and Edmund for the financial part. Then, Enactus can talk to the Board of RSVP.

·         Feedback from Hong Hong:

o   Powerpoint slides:

§  Need to do some amendments. Can add in some potential funders. Need to elaborate on benefits to RSVP. The marketing efforts of this CyberKopitiam to senior citizens. How to entice them to visit? Uniqueness etc.

o   Lessons:

§  For RSVP to offer free lesions would be a conflict of interests. We can however do free IT talks  (Eg. Introduction to Smartphone)

o   Pilot Test:

§  Venue (Kampong Glam CC) should have WIFI access. Enactus will site recee and feedback back to RSVP about it

§  Marketing by CC usually take 1 month period

§  There is a need to balance of IT learning and Free food, exercise is not possible as equipment are not available in the CC

§  Should set a timing, either morning or afternoon, and not the whole day

§  RSVP can provide Hands-on IT demo but not IT training

7.       Urgent Things for Enactus to do by 29 May 2014

·         Figures:

o   Get the numbers ready

o   Segmentation – what is your target market

o   Sample the data

o   Cost to run this program and total cost – also show the breakdown to 12 months

·         Details:

o   Pilot Test Venue, Date and Timing, no. of volunteers etc.

o   Timeline – inclusive of briefing to RSVP volunteers

·         Slides:

o   Amend and improve on it

Yours Sincerely,

Treasa Ho (Miss)
