Large fonts won't print

Q:

We have a problem printing pdf file with large font size, larger than 12, in Windows 7 64-bit.  It renders it fine and shows it in SilverDox document viewer but when we print it, text in large font is not printed.  The same pdf file is printed just fine using Adobe reader.  Also, SilverDox printing work fine in Windows 7 32-bit environment.  I added some small font text next to large test and sent it to printer using SilverDox and it printed small text but still didn’t print large font text.  Any idea what can be wrong?  Another piece of information, my computer is Windows 7 64-bit and it works just fine on my computer.  My computer has visual studio installed and other development tools.

Please check if the following Windows Update has been installed on one or both machines:

The update is causing problems with displaying fonts in many programs, including Silverlight, PowerPoint, Quark Xpress, etc. This is the likely cause of the problem. (Later communication confirmed it was.) Microsoft is aware of the problem, so hopefully this will be fixed sometime soon.
