Saturday Oct 3rd ride options

Good afternoon,

Looking at a long gravel ride tomorrow with a couple of options: Silver City to Separ and back, roughly 100 miles round trip.

We’ll leave from the Hike and Bike at 7:45 a.m. and ride to Separ Road on Hwy 90 via pavement. It’s about 18 miles from town—an ideal turnaround point for anyone wanting a shorter road ride.

If you’re aiming for strictly gravel, meet at the Separ/Hwy 90 intersection at 9:00 a.m. From there, we’ll ride down to Separ and flip it at Bowlin’s Continental Trading Post—a perfect spot to grab water and snacks. From the Hwy 90 intersection to Separ and back is roughly 64 miles round trip. It’s a dirt road, but it’s a great out-and-back on a gravel or mountain bike.

For the full experience, take the pavement back to town.

That ride is an absolute blast 🤩 I’m all in for the second option! The climb from Bowlins is definitely a fun challenge, but nothing beats riding with barely a car in sight.
