Good morning friends,
I wanted to forward this message from Debaura James and the attached flyer for the 100% Renewable Campaign Launch.  A meal will be provided for those who attend.  I plan on going, but I am speaking on the Transgender Panel at the GRE from 4 to about 6, so I will run over to the UU right after that.  I would love to see you there!

I've been talking with the SCUCC board about community service projects we can take on in the summer months.  We've noticed a trend of diminishing attendance to weekly worship services in the summer months, and since the weather is nice and we want to be outside, we're thinking we should try being a "Church without Walls" this season And look for some creative ways to be of service to our community.

This campaign launch sounds very inspiring, so I invite you all to come check it out with me.

Love to you all,
Wendy

New Energy Economy (NEE) was founded in 2003 to build a carbon-free energy future for our health and the environment.  On Monday, June 5th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., NEE's Executive Director, Mariel Nanasi, and her staff will launch NM's 100% Renewable [electrical generation] Campaign in Silver City at the UU Fellowship Hall at 2810 N. Swan St. Through the lens of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's "Vietnam Speech", they will illustrate the urgency of this campaign and how you and your organization can get on board.  A southwest meal will be provided.
