The Winter Solstice is the darkest night of the year, and it's often around this holiday time that folks are missing people they love....perhaps those who have passed on or drifted away, or those with whom we cannot connect for one reason or another. This loneliness and grief is often compounded by the barrage of busyness and pressure to buy and consume, and the illusion that everyone else is happy and expect us to put on a happy face even when inside that is far from the truth.

Silver City United Church of Christ invites us all to come together for a Blue Christmas/Winter Solstice Service, where we will move together from the darkness into the light. Come as you are, and allow yourself to be held with absolute acceptance. Come and allow yourself to witness the light of Hope and Possibility begin to emerge as we birth a New Year and a New Vision.

Come to the Sanctuary of 1st Presbyterian Church, 1915 N. Swan, on the eve of Winter Solstice, Wednesday 12/21 at 7:00 pm. Let us join together and allow our spirits to be moved out of the darkness of the past and into the light of a New Day.
