Align-it Installation on 64-bit Centos

another installation question for you. I am trying to get a new install of align-it going. openbabel is working (local user install) and the the various links defined as in the instructions.

export BABEL_LIBDIR="/home/vasileios/openbabel/lib/openbabel/2.3.2/"
export BABEL_INCLUDEDIR="/home/vasileios/openbabel/include/openbabel-2.0/"
export BABEL_DATADIR="/home/vasileios/openbabel/share/openbabel/2.3.2/"

Align-it compiles and installs but then I get a missing library error.

[vasileios@localhost ~]$ align-it -h
align-it: error while loading shared libraries: libopenbabel.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
--------------------------------------------

I tried diffèrent permutations for the folder links above, I also copied the shared libraries to the /usr/local/lib folder but it made no difference. Any idea whats the problem?

Hi Basil,

could you email me what is returned when executing the following from the command line:

ls $BABEL_LIBDIR

echo $BABEL_LIBDIR

The missing file is in

/home/vasileios/openbabel/lib/

should I put a soft link pointing to it in LIBDIR?
