Hi Kevin,

Wanted to put in my one month notice as of today (2/8) so I'll be out of here by 3/8.

Appreciate all the kindness and the hospitality but I need to move out due to some intolerable reasons. Thought I'd be a quiet contributor the household but it is simply short of respectful to come back to my dry laundry dumped outside the laundry room (thank you for putting it in the drier). A little run through of why I had my laundry in the washer between 9.45pm and 3am - I was out of the house for almost 3 weeks and when I finally got a chance to get to doing my laundry after recovering from my jet lag, the drier was occupied and out of common courtesy I didn't dump the prior person's stuff outside the drier and simply thought that by early today morning the person would have cleared out the drier and I'd be able to feed it with my washed clothes. Perhaps it would help to know that there was an emergency to use the washer/drier and I would not have left my stuff in there in the middle of night.

In due respect of whatever happened, I had a wonderful stay here and appreciate all the good times I had with everyone.

I will be leaving behind the desk that sid left since I never got to use it as I had to postpone my CPA classes. Wish everyone good luck with what they're doing.

Hope to run into y'all in a more professional environment.

Please let me know if I'd be eligible for a full refund of my deposit considering I haven't touched much around the house.

Thanks,
-Daanish

Hi Daanish,

I'm truly sorry if you felt I disrespected you, as that was certainly not my intention at all.

I have a 7am flight to Colombia this morning (on plane now). Rachel had been doing wash earlier in the day, and so when I got home at 10pm last night and saw the loads in the washer and dryer and her clothes outside her door, I just assumed it was hers and put it outside laundry room in pile, not wanting to put it in her pile by her door since I wasn't 100% sure.

I ran your load in the dryer trying to be considerate, and then did my two loads. I didn't want to pile them up on top of the washer, since it can be a bit dirty from detergent. I tried to lay the clothes I dried of yours on top of the blankets. I folded someone's clothes once in college but they got upset that someone touched their clothes, so I've usually not folded other people's laundry since.

I definitely could have put them back in the dryer afterward, but finishing my loads at midnight with a 430am wake up it just didn't occur to me, and so left them there (and my clothes in a similar pile in my room, FWIW).

I'd be happy to discuss further 1 on 1, buy you a beer and chalk it up to a simple misunderstanding. I'm disappointed that you characterized our home environment as less than professional, and would want to discuss if there are other matters bothering you. I think we have all done a wonderful job contributing to this house to make it our home.

But if you've already made your decision, I'll post the ad on Monday. Your security deposit would be returned within a few weeks of move out, minus any damages, cleaning charges, or unpaid rent or utilities.

Again, happy to chat when I return, or 1 on 1 via email before then: Kfa...@gmail.com
