Australian Address Verification (PAF lookup)

Hi all,

What does everyone use for address verification or autocomplete here in Australia?

I'm looking for a service that I can integrate into a website taking address data that will check that an address is valid, and also help fill out the address as the user types.

I've been looking at Experian's QAS product/service so far, but I'm not feeling too excited by it yet.  Ideally I'd like a quick responsive web service with servers located in Australia.


Does anyone else have this problem?  It seems like a nice simple business problem to solve if I'm not missing some obvious solutions!

What don't you like about QAS? It's done the job in my experience.

I have heard of people using Google Maps for a similar validation but I think from memory it might be against the Google Maps ToS.

Not widely known but there are apis for the nsw lands and property database.

http://maps.six.nsw.gov.au

we use them for http://www.swimmingpoolregister.nsw.gov.au since we needed the most up to date addresses.

But thats not Australian wide.
