Hi everyone,

I was hoping to reach out to you in case some of you/your friends are struggling to find good coders/web developers/programmers here in Australia or want to get more involved in the Australian Tech / start-up scene.

In the US in the past 18 months, over 20 schools have been launched to train highly capable people how to become 'world class beginners' in web development and coding through an intense program (typically of 10-12 weeks full time). Some of the most famous schools (e.g. devbootcamp in San Francisco) have dozens of graduates each months with their graduating students working for twitter, livingsocial and other leading companies in the US. As some of you might know, I've been working with some of these schools to launch Australia's FIRST dev camp. Our first semester will be graduating in a few weeks and now is the time to get the students into work!

As you all know, Australia suffers from a talent shortage of IT professionals. If some of you are looking to hire developers, this would be a great way for you to get them! For those interested, they can reach out to me at : dan...@sydneydevcamp.com
Check out the school website too: www.sydneydevcamp.com

Even if you are not interested in hiring graduates, this could still be an great opportunity to support/learn about/visit the space. (The school aims to create a transformational experience for the students giving them a real taste of what its like to be a 'coder ' so its located in a start-up hub in Surry hills with lots of other start-ups sharing the common space with the school).

Career Fair:
On Wednesday, June 12th, the Sydney dev Camp is hosting a Career Fair & Graduation Day. Companies will be invited to come to the school and see what students have been working on over the course of the semester. This will be a great chance to get to know the students, and get a detailed look at what they have accomplished (including demos of the apps they've built, etc...).
