Beatport Hack Tool

In my search I found and started using Remix Rotation, which is basically a DJ tool/digital marketplace aggregator that offers music charts by genres with lowest price listed. I have converted my Spotify lists to buy music of Beatport and Bandcamp for starters, works great. Has anyone used it before? How is it? Is there any similar tool online that you use?

I subscribed today, and tried to log in with no success. With a bit of digging about what actually happens when you log into beatport, it appears as if Traktor, when making a request to authorize with Beatport, will tell Beatport API that it should redirect to a protocol that Traktor doesn't seem to be able to handle. In Windows, this is stored in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. It basically has entries that say for example that when browser visits a link with a scheme, which application should open it.
So basically what happens is, you log into beatport, beatport tries to redirect you to a URL with a protocol that should open Traktor, and post the login code into Traktor. Based on the last post from Brian, it is possible that one of the previous versions had this URL scheme enabled, but the currrent one doesn't.
Now when you try to log into beatport from traktor pro, the browser should ask you if you want to open the link in traktor pro once you log in, and voila! If you still have issues, let me know and I'll do my best to help. :)

i think of it as a track/loop/edit that serves as a useful tool for the purpose of a mix or dance floor experience, be that serving as a way to transition from A to C by using DJ Tool B, or adding something extra when placed into the mix on a channel so that it makes a song fuller, more trippy, etc, i believe the name comes from the fact that back when they were only found on vinyl they needed to be marketed to DJs as they really only served a purpose in mixes or in clubs. so they called em tools for putting in that work
A DJ tool is pretty much what it sounds like, a tool for DJs. These tracks tend to fall out of a typical song structure and are purely loop based. Some DJ tools can be to elongate a blend, add some rhythm to a track, or to fill in a breakdown. Up to you!
We were also excited when we discovered you can actually grab your playlists from existing streaming services (eg Spotify) and using a free tool called Tune My Music, import them easily into Beatport (match rate was about 80-85% for dance playlists).

Note: If there is no Audition Path set in Pro tools, an error message will appear asking you to set the audition path. Go to Setup > I/O, on the Output tab at the bottom right, select the desired audition path
