If you observe the Android application screen (TeamViewer), there is only input field where you need enter the remote PC TeamViewerID. But, it will not give you any TeamViewID for your android device.

hi, i think i'm going crazy. i need to remote control my android device (i'm trying with s8, huawei p8 and samsung j3) and on all of this devices i got the SAME PROBLEM! i start teamviewer host (i cannot put hands on device cuz i'm really far) and for some minutes the connection is ok, after some time the connection runs out. But the problem is that I cannot connect to the phone when is locked, i tried everything reading past topics but nothing, i tried to optimize the background settings and battery settings, but after some time the phone go offline and i cannot connect anymore from teamviewer on the pc. i think that is a problem of background app management. i need to be able to start teamviewer host and connect after 2 hours, but this app is fully bugged. i found topics of some years ago, possible that a software that cost thousands of dollars is bugged on its main function? and after many yrs there are not solutions?

It is now 2023 and reading the comments it seems this problem has been going on since 2017. Why hasn't it been fixed. I bought a Moto G Play 2023 and it didn't work. From reading the older articles about mobile offline it suggested that Samsung mobile works better. I am having the same issue with the Samsung. How can teamviewer enticed users to buy their paid subscription if the free does not work. I am glad I tried it first before buying. [removed per Community Guidelines]

I can connect from my android tablet. so clearly teamviewer is there and responding. Just to be sure, I logged in using remote control from Android. Sure enough on the desktop is the teamviewer window that lists the android device as a session.

I disconnected from the remote host using the teamviewer window on the host. Nevertheless I cannot access the host from my windows computers. I then retried connecting from the android laptop and it worked. I had the remote machine restarted (By luck my clearing person was there. I'll not be able to physically access the remote computer for three weeks.) and tried all of the above again.

Since the last time I tried connecting via VNC I did not manage to get into a running KDE session on the openSUSE box (from another openSUSE box) I thought I would try teamviewer (even though I really would prefer another solution, maybe RDP?)

Anyway, I installed the server on the SUSE box, the client on the android. All went fine (the Keyboard works nice, the connection is relatively fluid), but I am unable to make a mouse click from android.

Did some further testing:

If the tablet is in portrait Teamviewr works (shows screen + can control) HOWEVER if within the session I switch to 'Landscape mode' then control becomes very limited (basically cannot use the home/back/App overview buttons are not accesible, I can show all apps by swiping up but I cannot actually launch any of them etc...)

My workaround for the time being is:
- to use an automation software (TASKER) so that upon starting a first teamviewer session Tasker forces the tablet into portrait mode.
- Then I make a new Teamviewer session where I do any changes necessary and before terminating it I restore the tablet back to Landscape mode.

Funnily the IM/Videochat APP Skype was not allowing automatically incoming calls (it prompts a dialogue where you actively have to click accept) but it's LITE version did work as intended.

I think this Samsung UI + ANDROID 10 + Security updates have a few compatibility issues. It is no excuse for Teamviewer or other developpers not too look into it to improve their products (actually, to make them work as intended?).

I hope this can help anyone.

It seems like "Host" is virtually pressing a button presented by the operating system to enable streaming. In landscape format teamviewer expects the button on an other position than operating system presents. => Check with the Quick Support application instead of host to understand the thesis.

I'm experiencing this with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (2020) running Teamviewer Host 10.15.102-HM. The PC is running 10.15.5. I've also tried with a OnePlus 6 android phone running teamviewer 15.10.140 CL.

Install a app like Rotation Control Pro (it was for free few months ago). There you can give any app a orientation. So i gave the teamviewer Host App a Non Landscape setting. On my s7+ i just need to open after connecting the keyboard an press 3 times space and voila. It works perfectly in bouth orientations.

I tryed with the app **Information removed as per Community Guidelines**. Its much slower then teamviewer and it only works if somebody turns on the screen (on tab a7. Tab s7 works perfect). You need to use adb for grand 1 right so you can use unattended access.

Figured out host record prompt on my Huawei Matepad T10 Tabled. It wasn't easy task but I finally got it working after hour of research. Now I can remotely connect from the Internet to my tablet which is located elsewhere (home for example) without confirming anything on target device. I don't like companies hiding stuff on personalized android ui.

so after almost one year with the same issue and getting realy tired from knox and teamviewer saying its the other ones problem. i switched to **Information removed as per Community Guidelines** and it works allways fine. i also have the physical buttons und works great.

Everthing started few years ago when newer android systems requires to unlock the phone to load all non priority apps. On first boot only few system apps/services are going to start such phone, messaging and some messenger apps(in my case WhatsApp).

I am using a bluetooth keyboard/touchpad combo (1byone Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with Built-in Multi-touch Touchpad) connected to my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) in hopes of improving productivity. The keyboard works very well for typing, but the touchpad (although the Android phone accepts its input--demonstrated by a cursor moving on the phone but not moving the remote desktop's cursor) isn't used by the TeamViewer client (i.e. using the touchpad connected to my phone moves the mouse cursor that appears on the android phone, but does not affect the desktop cursor which one might hope to move). Also scrolling the touchpad mouse to the border of the Android phone doesn't scroll the view. For any functionality from the touchpad in TeamViewer, I have to hold down the left mouse button under the touchpad, preventing me from doing things that would otherwise be easy to do with a touchpad such as selection or drag-and-drop.

I've also noticed some buttons or button combinations from the hardware keyboard are captured by the android device causing undesirable effects. For example, the windows key on my bluetooth keyboard is used by Android to open Google Voice. While I am connected, I rather have it act as an actual Windows key, which would allow for a more seamless experience. Alt + Tab is also stolen by the Android phone.

I understand that the development cycle is crazy, and some of these features might not be supported without the user having to root the phone, but just wanted to suggest this as it would put you far ahead of the game. I have explored other android remote desktop client/host combos looking specifically for bluetooth keyboard/mouse support connected to an Android client. Jump desktop for Android has implemented a bluetooth mouse pass-through, but the rest of the application is horrible. Google Desktop doesn't appear to be as feature rich as your software so I hope that I can stick with your product in the future.

Seeking your expertise and guidance in projecting the android apps to user thru PC/Projector. I tried with nox and vysor software to project the DHIS2 Apps but it is not displaying/mirroring the exact phone screen in the projector, which left us not able to demo the dhis2 apps. Also found app is not stable and functioning well because it get started crash, program rules are not working, some data fields are not able to enter(skipping). We are using Version:2.29, Build revision:dd8e3fc
