Splicing different layouts

Hello SILE users,
I am rewriting a document in SILE to get the hang for it. The document
layout has chapters formatted in similar fashion to this bible:

So:

- a chapter header
- some paragraphs in "normal text"
- some text in two columns

I can do each of those things in SILE (thanks for the thorough
documentation!) but I don't know hot to splice them together.
The manual (section 8.4 3.15 - Frames) produces an example, but it
requires a page-break/blank-page (while in the pic I posted, everything
is seamless).

Which package/example should I look into?
