Well, I prepared a cut-down version of the file, and the problem went
away, so I guess it's something to do with a particular memory area
overflowing because of a bug in Word 2007.

Bob, would you like me to send you the file that causes the problem,
and a data file that works properly?

I did find out that Word 2007 can produce a booklet version of the
Vwanji pastoral epistles if I first run the SILAS macros to produce a
proof printout version of the same file, so that's a work-around for now.
