Greetings,

Kim has just put the latest version of Silas (2.05-1.032) up on the web
site:
http://code.google.com/p/silas/

It is worth getting, for the following improvements:

1. Installing the macros to Print Booklets works better, from a button in
the Booklet Style dialog, when people are formatting booklets and thinking
about how to print them, instead of the confusing step during installation,
when the booklet macro file tended to be hidden behind the template file.

2. You can now edit the checking table that appears in the ID footers in
proof printouts, and you get a unique table for each language/project, so
these can be in vernacular instead of English.

3. Widened all text boxes & labels in dialogs (forms) so hi-res monitors
don't choke on them.

4. Custom stylesheet supported through "Custom_styles.txt" in the Pt
settings folder instead of the program's installation folder, so your custom
file won't be overwritten by a new version of Silas.

5. Macros to change line spacing now easier to drive -- called from sub-menu
of Scripture menu.

6. FAQ file now gives info on how to print the same RTF file in different
scripts, such as Latin for one audience, Cyrillic for another, with link to
EncConverters.

Kim and I think this version is reliable, and worth the download. If
anything breaks, please let us know, either by direct email, by a posting to
the silas-talk group, or by making a new Issue at
http://code.google.com/p/silas/issues/list

You can also put questions and wish-list items in the Issues page, or post
them to silas-talk.
