Dear Friends,
I wanted to let you know that the Global Health Corps application for the 2013-2014 fellow class has just opened!
The mission of Global Health Corps is to mobilize a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. We offer yearlong fellowship opportunities in Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and the USA.
I work for Global Health Corps as the East Africa Regional Director based in Kampala. The Global Health Corps fellowship is an amazing opportunity to get a year of field experience with an established non-profit or government agency. You are provided housing, medical insurance, a livable wage, and transportation to and from the country you are working in.
I am writing to you today because I want to encourage you to apply and to reach out to people you know to apply to the fellowship. I think that you are an emerging leader in global health and know others who are as well and that this is something that you and they would enjoy and be interested in doing. Please pass this email along to anyone you know or think might be interested in applying. Attached is a flier that you can share widely.
The only qualifications necessary to apply are that the applicant is 30 years old or younger, holds a university degree and is proficient in English. No prior health experience is necessary. We are looking for people from a wide variety of sectors in order to get people with many different backgrounds and skill sets.
There are two parts of the application: 1) short general essays about why you are interested in the fellowship; 2) specific essays about the jobs you are applying for. Applications are available at http://ghcorps.org/apply
Begin your application now!!!!
