Sikh Youth Projects

We would like to thank all the volunteers who came out on Saturday for
Kar Seva, Your effort is very inspiring and we would like to
congratulate the Sikh youth for making this effort.
For those who could not make it on Last Saturday on May 12th we would
like to update that Sikh youth were able to make a head start by
cleaning up areas around the big pond in the side parking lot, they
worked for long 12:30 hours from 9 AM to 9:30 PM.

Make Gurudwara Beautiful
Next Kar Seva to make our SRS GuguGhar beautiful will be held on
Saturday May 19th 2007 from 9AM to 1 PM. Project will be coordinated
by Amarjit Singh and Narinder Singh Grewal. We want to start at 9 AM
sharp. We are planning to cut bushes along the side street (N Deer
Street / Winnetka St )
Tools
Please bring your tools, glove if possible. Cutters, Saw, Chain Saw
rake, Gardening tools, garbage bags, gloves, weed whackers or anything
you think that will help in the clean up effort this Saturday. Please
bring protective gear for your eyes.
Volunteer Required
· We need volunteer who can help us rent & bring a heavy duty mulcher.
KarSeva Presentation
We need a volunteers who can make a PowerPoint on KarSeva Project,
What we would like to include in this project is
· What we have accomplished so far
· What do we want to accomplish next
Since we need to raise funds to make our GuruGhar beautiful (outside
beautification project) and to do this will be a starting point.

Sikh Youth Networking
On Saturday June 2nd 2007 we will be having a Sikh Youth Networking
event. We have Sikh youth coming from California and other places; we
would like all of us to get together and share our experiences and
learn from each other.

Sikh History Project
We will be working on project Sikh History for the month, Please share
your suggestions, thoughts and ideas so that we can all contribute to
this research and learn at the same time
Ideas we are working on are:
· Prepare PowerPoint presentation on Sikh History
· Break down the whole content into 4 sections so that each section
can be presented every week on Thursdays.
· We will also use this content on our website
· We will try to display this PowerPoint on regular intervals on the
TV's downstairs.
Requirements
· We will need written content, pictures & Graphics to support
· we will need voice in the background ( We have a volunteer for this)
We have a very dedicated and good team at this point and this project
can help us all to learn a lot and will be an asset for our community.

Sikh Youth Darbar Every Thursday at 6:30 PM
Sikh Youth is conducting a regular devan every Thursday at 6:30PM if
you have not attended Sikh Youth Darbar so far please make sure to
come with your family & Friends. We need volunteer to sponsor langars
on Thursdays.
