The 48th European Conference on Information Retrieval (ECIR 2026) is Europe's premier forum for cutting-edge research in Information Retrieval (IR). Bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts, ECIR provides a platform for sharing new, unpublished, and innovative research shaping the future of IR.
ECIR 2026 will take place as a physical (in-person) conference from 30 March to 1 April 2026 in Delft, The Netherlands. The programme will be complemented by tutorials on Sunday, 29 March, followed by a dedicated workshop day on Thursday, 2 April.
With a strong tradition of supporting early-career researchers, ECIR especially welcomes contributions from postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Whether you're presenting groundbreaking research, engaging in thought-provoking discussions, or connecting with leading experts, ECIR 2026 promises an inspiring and dynamic experience.
