Interested in serving as a SIGTYP volunteer at EACL 2024?

Dear SIGTYP Community,

we are looking for a volunteer SIGTYP Room Coordinator at EACL 2024.

The tasks are:

• attending a brief Underline training session
• attending SIGTYP (March 22), and
  • helping the on-the-ground organizer, e.g. in passing around the mic
  • assisting with possible technical issues, should any arise during the workshop

The Room Coordinator will receive a partial refund from ACL. You can be a volunteer even if you have a presentation at the workshop.

If you are interested in potentially acting as a volunteer, please let me know as soon as possible, and by Tuesday March 12 at the latest.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about volunteering!

A brief addition:

The ACL Event Assistant just informed me that the SIGTYP Room Coordinator will get the 2 day in person workshop fee refunded. It's a refund into your bank account, not just a voucher.
