Hsdpa Usb Modem 7.2 Mbps

Ihave a 5510 3G HSDPA ExpressCard for AT&T, which is rated at 3.2mbps; while it's equivalent cousn from its manufacturer Novatel's XU870 has a flash upgrade that takes the modem all the way up to 7.2mbps.

I tried contacting support for help to upgrade my 5510. But after talking to 3 different techs, none of whom knew what the 5510 was; and the 4th support person, where she has "very limited knowledge" of the 5510 told me to contact Novatel directly for specific product information and support (which is wrong because Novatel do not support Dell's product).

It does not seem like Dell has any firmware upgrade available to make the 5510 go at its full 7.2mbps speed potential. Is there a way for us to flash the Dell's 5510 usig Novatel's XU870 flash (in essense making it a XU870, therefore able to use the upgrade)?

I have a serious problem about my WWAN card and i'm going nut right now.....i bought Dell Wireless 5510 3G HSDPA ExpressCard Cingular for my dell XPS and it work perfect so i desided to buy latitude E4300 but when i incerted Dell Wireless 5510 3G HSDPA ExpressCard for Cingular then i tried to install the the driver utility but it said not a dell compatible system but my laptop is dell and i bought the card from dell and i even downloaded the driver from dell....can any one help? i need urgent help befor i break this laptop.
