SIGSLAV Elections -- Nomination period extension

Dear SIGSLAV members,

to extend the pool of candidates, the current chairs of SIGSLAV have decided to extend the call for nominations to 30 July 2017. See below for a new schedule.

We encourage all SIGSLAV members to nominate new officers until the closing date by sending an email to sig...@gmail.com with the name and email for the nominee, proposer, and

seconder. In your email, please indicate for which position the nomination is being made.

The positions for SIGSLAV officers are:

* Vice-Chair:
* Secretary:
* Resource Manager(s)

The Chair, the Vice-Chair, and the Secretary nominees must be current ACL members.

* 29 May -- 1st call for nominations
* 13 June -- 2nd call for nominations
* 5 July -- Nomination period extension and 3rd call for nominations
* 30 July -- Nominations close
* 30 September -- Voting commences
* 31 October -- Voting ends
* 13 November -- Announcement of the elected officers
* 1 December -- Elected officers start their service
