Sib. 7.1.3: Sibelius 7, Abbey Road Modern Drums, and Repeat bars!
Posted by John C. W. Joy - 04 Feb 10:02PM Hide picture Greetings!
I'm getting increasingly frustrated trying to get Abbey Road Modern Drums to work in Sibelius 7. Is there anyone who can explain to me what settings I need to have in both Sibelius and Abbey Road/Kontakt to get the blasted programs to talk to each other and play what is on the score? I've inputed the music, I just want to hear it played back with good drum sounds not general Midi ones....
And is there anyway to get Abbey Road to recognise repeat marks (one and two bars repeats) and play them back correctly??
I have tried reading the manual, but get very confused as I can't seem to make it correlate to what I'm doing.....
Many thanks from a very frustrated user!!!!

The drums in Sibelius 7 Sounds are also a cut above your computer's GM sounds.

@Laurence - Thanks for the heads up on repeat bars. I deliberately wish to use the Abbey Road Drums that I brought as that is one of the reasons for buying it.... Back to top Allthreads Re: Sib. 7.1.3: Sibelius 7, Abbey Road Modern Drums, and Repeat bars!

Im sure we all want to keep expenses down, and can readily agree with that..but the sound set is $15, and without it and trying to use this product with Sib and getting it working is going be a HUGE heartache and headache..
Thanks..just my thoughts..all good luck with this:)

Advanced randomization can add subtle nuances in the tone and timing, making it almost impossible to distinguish from a studio-recorded drummer performance. Two premium drum kits were recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Both of them produce powerful and versatile drums for modern rock and pop. You can create your own session drummer with the well-stocked and versatile Groove Library. Also, fine-tune your mix with the Mixer Section or other studio effects.
