SignalK subscribing to MQTT broker

Im sending data to MQTT broker and can browse it using MQTT explorer. I cant figure out how to configure SignalK to subscribe to that data (a.k.a display it on the dashboard).

Hi,

I don't familiar in mqtt but i think it's same with rabbitmq. it's also using json format as output, but maybe it's different format than signalK requirement as an input. So I think you can try to modify the message.

Thank you. yes, I am already able to send and receive the data to the broker.  I just cant figure out how to make it appear in the SK web interface.

I figured it out. I had to publish my data under the same "topic" as already being used there.....i.e. vessels/self/sensors. I havent found any other way and wish there was more flexibility but I guess for now this is fine.

Great to see a solution.  Makes sense that data needs to be grouped into the topics SD expects and supports.

Could you point me to any documentation on this?. I'd like to understand more about what data SK supports.

So far it's using UTF-8 JSON  via websocket. you can check it on http://signalk.org/specification/1.5.0/doc/data_model.html
