GPS NEO-6M on ESP8266 to SingalK

Hi all,

I am having trouble putting a GY-GPS6MV2  (NEO-6M chip) wired on a ESP8266 MCU to properly send GPS data to a SignalK server.

1. I test the GPS module and the ESP8266 alone with a simple code and it works. 

2. then I put them to work with the SIgnalK server (I basically used the SensESP/examples/gps_compass.cpp example). 

Then, it does not send GPS data but only ESP info (hz, uptime, wifi signal)

Maybe I am missing something very basic here, but I played like 40h with codes and web stuff and found no way out.
